Karla M. Silvestrini
Karla M. Silvestrini received her Bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico in criminal justice, with a concentration in Law and Society. Karla then attended the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2012. Karla passed the Puerto Rican Bar in 2012 and is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth Courts of Puerto Rico.
While in law school, Karla participated in the Puerto Rico Innocence Project, providing pro bono and investigative services to individuals seeking to prove their innocence for crimes which they had been convicted.
After passing the Puerto Rican Bar Exam in 2012, Karla opened her own law firm in Caguas, Puerto Rico, which was dedicated to both civil and criminal law practice. Her primary areas of practice focused on Family Law and Labor Law; Karla also provided services as a Public Notary. Ms. Silvestrini was also a member of Pro-Bono, Inc., where she was committed to providing legal advice and representation to the disadvantaged in civil matters.
Karla is passionate about social justice issues and working in solidarity to empower disadvantaged people in her community. It is this passion in helping that drew Karla to the field of law.
